My father was born in Betina, mother in Šibenik..In early sixties together with their friends they started to build the house. My father´s family and all of their ancestors lived from agriculture and fishing. In early seventies, beside their employement, my parents were among first families that started offering touristic services in Betina – renting of rooms. Throughout the years whatever they earned they had invested in the house to be more comfortable for them as well to our guests.

By the house there was and still is a garden where my parents planted vegetables. They possessed a vineyard which is today an olive grove. Today, me and my sister together with other members of the
family take care of this olive grove which in return give us high quality olive oil. Since my early childhood my father often took me for fishing where I learned to love sea, boats and fishing on the hook.

We still have contacts with our guests who were the first to visit our house as tourists and who always express their enjoyment remembering their first summer vacation in Betina. These guests kept comming every summer and many times they brought together other members of the family and friends as well, and in that way they had spreaded pozitive voice about us. Today, their children and grandchildren together with their families traditionaly keep coming again and agian every year to spend their summer holidays in Betina.

Building and upgrading of the house is long lasting process: building of the house started at the end of sixties and in 2009 we finished it with upgrading of second floor with 2 new appartments. After that, family Jakovcev invests constantly to improve comfort of accomodation: renovation of bathrooms, new furniture and arranging of surrounding of the house.

My sister and me, together wit other members of the family are running this family business. Starting from presentation on the internet, maintaining of correspondence with guests, updateing of booking plan for season, we do it by ourselves with great enjoyment.
